List of CIRCA's researchers

Researchers

Are you a researcher who would like to join us?

Send us a letter of application including your desired membership status, your reasons for joining CIRCA, and your up-to-date CCV (or CV) to circa@umontreal.ca.

There are two possible statuses:

Regular members

Regular research members are career professors, professors under grant or university clinical researchers as defined by the FRQ, whose research activities significantly impact one or more aspects of CIRCA's scientific programme. They actively contribute to the achievement of CIRCA's mission and objectives and participate in scientific activities. They enjoy political rights and are eligible for research support programmes. With some exceptions, they :

  • Devote most of their professional time (at least 75%) to research activities related to the Centre's mission, if they are university researchers;
  • Devote half (at least 50%) of their professional time to research activities related to the Centre's mission, if they are university-based clinical researchers;
  • Participate in scientific activities on a regular basis (seminars and conferences, supervision of students, supervision of research trainees, etc.);
  • Have one or more grants recognized by the FRQ;
  • Publish the results of their research work regularly in refereed journals;
  • Identify themselves as researchers affiliated with the Centre in any production or dissemination activity related to CIRCA research;
  • Submit an updated CV to the Centre's administration every year.

Associate members

Associate members are university researchers, university clinical researchers or experts who do not meet all the requirements for regular membership, or whose main affiliation is with another Centre, but whose research and knowledge transfer activities are related to CIRCA's mission. They are invited to attend meetings, but without voting rights, and participate in the scientific life of the Centre. They may be eligible for CIRCA programmes in the context of projects carried out with at least one regular member.

Appointment

Regular and associate members are appointed by the Steering Committee on the recommendation of the Scientific Committee for a renewable four-year term.
